Who we are

The Gospel is not only something we proclaim. It is something we live.

Love of Christ in Action is a Christian, faith-based organization committed to sharing the love of Jesus Christ by serving people in practical and meaningful ways. Jesus calls us to care for the hungry, welcome the vulnerable, educate children and bring hope to those who are struggling.

We believe the best way to serve a community is to listen to the people who live there. Before beginning a project, we work closely with local community leaders to understand the needs and challenges of the people we hope to serve.

We also believe in helping people, not creating dependency. Whenever possible we purchase materials locally, work with local people, create jobs, and invest in the skills and resources already in the community.

What we do

Six ways the love of Christ becomes something you can hold

Each program below meets an immediate need while building toward something lasting: a child who finishes school, a family with an income, a church with a trained leader.

Sponsor a child

$30 / month

Keep one child at Institution Alexandre Campbell in school for the school year, and support the teachers who stay when resources are thin.

How sponsorship works

Equip a servant

$90 / month

Help Robenson finish Bible school and serve the Church of Laferoney: books, tuition and transportation.

Meet Robenson

Four classrooms

$36,000 full cost

Children are waiting for a seat. Four new classrooms would let the school welcome them.

Complete the school wall

$28,000 full cost

Only half the school property is enclosed. Finishing the concrete-block wall makes the campus a safer place to learn and play.

Give a family an animal

A story of hope

Esther’s mother sells bottled water on the street.

Esther lives with her parents, two brothers and a sister. Her mother works hard selling bottled water on the streets to help put food on the family’s table. For a family struggling to survive, paying school fees can seem impossible.

Through LCA, Esther has received help with her education. Your support is helping turn her mother’s sacrifices into hope for Esther’s future.

“Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” 1 John 3:18 (NIV)

This is more than a verse to us. It is the heart of who we are.

You may not be able to change what these children have lost.

But you can help change what comes next. Your prayers and generosity can provide a child with education, safety, dignity and hope. Every gift matters. Every child matters.
